The Book Arts Workroom at Shepherd & Maudsleigh Studio
is a space where artists & printmakers can explore the book form within their practice, as well as a space for professional bookbinders to come and work in a community setting. The Book Arts Workroom is excited to support artists & printmakers who are interested in the ways that the book structure and related structures lend themselves to sculptural and tactile experiences,
The Book Arts Workroom is equipped with several large work tables, a 40” blade board shear, 2 guillotines, Kwik Print stamping machine, lying press with plough, 6 nipping presses, and sundry hand tools.
Artists working in the Book Arts Workroom will be able to rent personal benches with access to communal space and equipment. The BAW has basic hand tools necessary for both Book Artists and traditional Bookbinders.
