Membership to our Studio
is for those with some level of experience in Printmaking, Book Arts, Papermaking, or alternative photography. Whether you are a working artist looking for a community studio, have just taken a workshop and have “the bug” for more, or are revisiting your practice after years away.
All Access Membership
(includes the Printshop, Book Arts Workroom, RISO, & Papermaking)
Rates:
- Single Month: $495
- Multiple consecutive months: $450
Membership includes:
- 24/7 access to Printmaking Studio*
- Access to presses & basic equipment*
- Access to Book Arts Workroom M-F, 10 AM – 5 PM*
- Access RISO Room M-F, 10 AM – 5 PM*
- Flat file and cubby storage
*some equipment may require authorization or training before use
5-Day Pass Card Membership
(can be used in the Printshop, Book Arts Workroom, RISO Room, or Papermaking)
Rate: $505
The 5-day Pass Card is ideal for those looking to try out our printmaking studio before committing to monthly rental, those with infrequent availability to come to the studio, or those who make plates/matrices at home and need occasional access to a press or other equipment.
5-Day Pass Members must schedule their days at least 24hrs in advanced by emailing the studio.
Days can only be scheduled when the studio is open (M-F , 10AM – 5PM).
Book Arts Workroom Membership Pricing
Book Arts Workroom Membership allows you the ability to rent time in the Book Arts Workroom (Does not include Printshop or RISO Room access).
Annual Membership fee: $100
For the first year + $60 for equipment certification training (required)
Certification renewal: $30 (certification must be renewed yearly or as needed)
Annual Membership must be paid in-person. Following this, hours can be purchased online.
Time Renting Rates (Book Arts Membership Only)
Time renters (both hourly and unlimited during business hours) will need to schedule their time 24/hrs in advance. Time renters receive access to community space & tools, and are able to rent storage.
Hourly Renting Rates
1hr, $15
5hrs, $70
15hrs, $180
Book Arts Hours can be purchased here
Unlimited access during business hours (or when a studio monitor is available): $250/month
Storage Rates (available to time renters – both hourly and unlimited)
Flat file, $50/month
Shelf or rolling drawer, $50/month

RISO Room Membership Pricing
RISO Room Membership allows you the ability to rent time in the RISO Room (Does not include Book Arts or Printshop access)
Annual Membership fee: $100
To be eligible for a membership you must have at least taken the RISO Foundations course (regardless of previous experience with other machines) or any of our offered RISO classes.
The annual membership fee must be paid in-person, but hours can be purchased online.
Time Renting Rates (RISO Room Membership Only)
Time renters (both hourly and unlimited during business hours) will need to schedule their time 24/hrs in advance. Time renters receive access to community space & tools. Consumables (paper & masters) can be purchased on site.

Studio Rentals
Currently we have a waiting list for Studio Rentals. Artist with studio rentals are considered All Access members, though are required to go through an orientation or certification to use specific equipment. Please email us at shepherdmaudsleighstudio@gmail.com to be placed on a waitlist.
