Architecture, planning, photography, painting and printmaking have all merged as inter-related passions, with the camera’s eye frequently serving as a vital window and common denominator in the creative process.  Interpretations of waterfront and marine environments, with their always shifting  patterns and rhythms  have been a central focus of Mr. Norris’s photography and watercolors for many years, and have evolved as an inspiration for his woodblock prints.  Natural shoreline settings and  tidal environments provide inspiration for his prints such as “Islesford Ebb” shown above.
